At Chop Point School, early education is a positive experience where students gain important skills and good study habits. Reading, phonics, spelling, math, and oral communication are emphasized. Classes generally begin with a short time of devotion and Bible reading before beginning their daily work. Elementary classes have recess twice daily where unstructured safe play is encouraged. Elementary curriculum also incorporates Art, Gym, General Music (grades k-4), Recorders (grades 3-4), Band (grades 5-6), Computer (grades 3-6) once a week, and Spanish (k-6) twice a week.
Chop Point recognizes that learning happens beyond classroom academics and therefore classes are supplemented with field trips and teachers use our campus to incorporate real life examples of concepts. and Along with a solid foundation in history, Chop Point students listen to Bible and missionary stories and are encouraged to pray from their heartsPatience, kindness, gratitude, industry, cheerfulness, honesty, and unselfishness are stressed daily.
